SkyLume D -- Oblique Wallwasher Panel
Angled Sunlight. Architectural Drama.
30-degree oblique LED panel inspired by first-generation YuerSky technology, casting wall-grazing directional sunlight with full Rayleigh scattering depth. The original angled skylight, refined.
The Concept
The SkyLume D introduces directional drama to artificial sky illumination. With a fixed 30-degree oblique beam angle, this wallwasher panel casts a defined wash of angled sunlight across adjacent walls -- recreating the unmistakable pattern of late-afternoon sun entering through a high window. The effect is architectural, immersive, and unlike any conventional ceiling fixture.
Drawing on the lineage of the original YuerSky design, the D series combines Rayleigh scattering nano-diffusion optics with precise beam geometry. The optical stack separates direct and diffuse light components: a warm, focused sun-wash grazes the wall below while a soft blue sky glow emanates from the panel surface above. This dual-layer effect produces a strikingly realistic impression of sunlight streaming through a skylight at an angle.
Available in four sizes from a compact 300x300mm to a commanding 600x1200mm XL, the D series scales from intimate accent features to dramatic wall-landscaping installations. The compact 150mm depth (295mm for XL) allows installation in standard ceiling voids, while the extended CCT range of 2,100K to 7,800K enables everything from golden-hour warmth to stark midday clarity.
Key Features
- 30-Degree Oblique Beam -- Fixed angled output creates a wall-grazing sunlight wash that mimics natural sun entering through a skylight. Dramatic, directional, architectural.
- Rayleigh Scattering Optics -- Nano-particle diffusion generates genuine sky depth above the panel while the oblique beam delivers warm sun-wash on the wall below.
- 4 Size Options -- From 300x300mm compact accent to 600x1200mm XL statement piece. Scale the sun-wash effect to match any wall and ceiling configuration.
- Original YuerSky Lineage -- The D series descends from the first-generation YuerSky oblique skylight technology, refined and optimized for broader architectural applications.
- CRI >93 Ra -- Accurate color rendering ensures wall finishes, artwork, and textures appear true-to-life under the angled sunlight wash.
- Tunable White (2,100K--7,800K) -- Extended CCT range covers warm amber evening through crisp cool daylight, with the higher 7,800K ceiling providing an extra-blue sky simulation.
- Smart Control -- BLE Mesh 5.0, DALI, 0-10V, and RF remote. Tuya platform for voice control and automated scheduling via Google Home and Amazon Alexa.
- Compact Depth -- 150mm installation depth for most sizes (295mm for XL), fitting standard ceiling voids without structural modification.

What is in the Box
- 1x SkyLume D Oblique LED Panel
- 1x Angled Mounting Bracket System
- 1x LED Driver / Power Supply
- 1x Cutout Template
- 1x RF Remote Control
- 1x Installation Guide
Installation
Step 1: Use the cutout template to mark the ceiling opening. Cut the opening to match the panel cutout dimensions for your chosen size.
Step 2: Mount the angled bracket system inside the ceiling void, ensuring the 30-degree angle is oriented toward the target wall for optimal sun-wash effect.
Step 3: Install the LED driver above the ceiling and connect it to mains power supply. Route the low-voltage cable to the panel mounting position.
Step 4: Secure the panel to the angled bracket. Connect the power cable, power on, and adjust color temperature via RF remote or Tuya app.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does the 30-degree oblique light look like in practice?
The 30-degree angle creates a wash of warm directional light that grazes the wall adjacent to the panel. The visual effect closely resembles late-afternoon sunlight entering through a high skylight. You see a bright, defined patch of light on the upper wall that fades naturally downward, combined with a soft blue sky glow from the panel face itself. The result is unmistakably sun-like.
Which wall should the light be aimed at?
The panel should be installed near the wall you want to illuminate. The 30-degree angle projects light from the panel edge toward the nearest wall. For the most natural effect, choose a wall with interesting texture, artwork, or architectural detail. The sun-wash effect enhances material surfaces dramatically.
How deep does the ceiling void need to be?
The 300x300mm, 300x600mm, and 600x600mm models require a minimum ceiling void of 150mm. The larger 600x1200mm XL model requires 295mm of ceiling depth. If your ceiling void is shallower, the compact sizes are the recommended choice.
Can the D series be used as a primary room light?
The D series is designed primarily as an accent and atmospheric fixture rather than a general room light. Its oblique beam concentrates light on a wall rather than distributing it evenly across the room. For primary illumination, pair the D with other SkyLume models such as the E or P series panels.
What is the YuerSky design lineage?
The SkyLume D descends from the original YuerSky oblique skylight technology, one of the earliest commercial implementations of Rayleigh scattering in architectural lighting. The D series retains the core oblique beam geometry while upgrading the optical stack, control systems, and materials to current standards.
Can I dim the oblique sunlight effect?
Yes. Full dimming from 0-100% is supported through all control interfaces: RF remote, BLE 5.0, DALI, and 0-10V. You can also adjust color temperature independently, allowing you to create everything from a faint golden glow to a bright midday sun-wash.
What warranty is included?
Every SkyLume D panel ships with a 2-year manufacturer warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship. LED drivers are warranted separately for 2 years. Rated lifespan exceeds 15,000 hours of continuous operation.
How does the D compare to the E series vertical panels?
The E series delivers straight-down vertical light, while the D series projects light at a 30-degree angle to wash an adjacent wall. Choose the E for direct overhead illumination of surfaces below (desks, tables, displays). Choose the D when you want dramatic wall-grazing sunlight effects and architectural accent lighting.
