SkyLume T -- Sun Simulation Panel (Square)
The Sun, Indoors.
High-intensity sun simulation panel projecting a defined solar disc with 30m+ irradiation distance -- designed for atriums, lobbies, and grand architectural spaces requiring genuine overhead sunlight.
The Concept
The SkyLume T is the most powerful artificial skylight in the square-format lineup. It simulates not just the sky, but the sun itself -- projecting a defined solar disc with realistic intensity that can illuminate spaces from over 30 meters away. Designed for atriums, double-height lobbies, museums, and grand commercial interiors, the T transforms cavernous spaces into sunlit environments.
The sun simulation engine combines high-intensity directional LEDs with Rayleigh scattering diffusion optics to separate the solar disc from the surrounding sky field. The result is a bright, sharply defined sun spot surrounded by a natural blue gradient -- indistinguishable from a real skylight in many viewing conditions. At 60 degrees beam angle, the T fills large floor areas with warm, natural-feeling daylight.
Available in 600x600mm and 940x1240mm formats, the T delivers 500-600W of focused solar simulation power. Fixed at 6,500K daylight CCT, it provides consistent, neutral white illumination optimized for maximum realism of the sun disc effect. Control via 0-10V dimming and Tuya smart platform allows intensity adjustment while maintaining the authentic solar spectrum.
Key Features
- Visible Sun Disc -- Projects a defined, bright solar disc surrounded by natural blue sky gradient. The most realistic artificial sun effect available in a ceiling-mounted fixture.
- 60-Degree Beam Angle -- Wide beam fills large floor areas with natural-feeling sunlight, covering expansive spaces from a single mounting point.
- 30m+ Irradiation Distance -- Engineered for high-ceiling applications. The T delivers effective illumination from mounting heights of 10m, 20m, or even 30+ meters.
- 500--600W High Power -- Serious luminous output for large commercial and institutional spaces. Equivalent to thousands of lumens of concentrated daylight.
- CRI 95 Ra -- Cinema-grade color accuracy ensures spaces beneath the T look genuinely sunlit, with true-to-life rendering of all materials and surfaces.
- 6,500K Fixed Daylight -- Optimized neutral white CCT calibrated specifically for maximum sun disc realism. Consistent, reliable daylight output.
- Rayleigh Scattering Optics -- The same nano-particle diffusion technology used across the SkyLume range creates the blue sky field surrounding the sun disc.
- Smart Control -- 0-10V dimming and Tuya smart platform for intensity scheduling, voice control via Google Home and Amazon Alexa.

What is in the Box
- 1x SkyLume T Sun Simulation Panel
- 1x Structural Ceiling Bracket + Safety Cable
- 1x High-Power LED Driver / Power Supply
- 1x 0-10V Dimming Interface
- 1x Installation Guide
Installation
Step 1: For high-ceiling installations, identify structural mounting points on the ceiling framework. The T requires structural support rated for the panel weight plus safety margin.
Step 2: Mount the structural bracket to the ceiling framework. Attach the safety cable as a secondary support per the installation guide.
Step 3: Secure the sun simulation panel to the bracket. Connect the high-power LED driver and route wiring to the electrical supply point.
Step 4: Power on. The sun disc will project downward with full Rayleigh scattering sky effect. Adjust intensity via 0-10V or Tuya app. Professional installation is recommended for heights above 6m.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does the sun disc look like?
The sun disc appears as a bright, defined circular spot of warm white light surrounded by a gradient of blue sky. When viewed from below, it closely resembles looking up at the sun through a skylight opening. The disc has defined edges and genuine perceived brightness, creating a convincing solar simulation.
Can the T be used in low-ceiling rooms?
The T is engineered for high-ceiling applications and performs best at mounting heights of 4m or more. In standard-height rooms (2.4-3m), the sun disc effect may appear too intense and the 60-degree beam angle may not spread sufficiently. For standard ceilings, consider the SkyLume E or ER series instead.
Why is the color temperature fixed at 6,500K?
The 6,500K CCT is specifically calibrated to optimize the sun disc realism. This neutral daylight white produces the most convincing separation between the bright solar disc and the surrounding blue sky field. Variable CCT would compromise the optical precision needed for the sun simulation effect.
How much power does it consume?
The 600x600mm model consumes 500W and the 940x1240mm model consumes 600W at full output. Both support 0-10V dimming to reduce output and power consumption as needed. Annual electricity cost depends on usage hours and local rates, but at typical commercial electricity prices, operating cost is modest relative to the dramatic lighting impact delivered.
Is professional installation required?
We strongly recommend professional installation for the SkyLume T, particularly in spaces with ceiling heights above 6m. The panel weight, high-power electrical requirements, and structural mounting needs make this an installation best handled by qualified lighting contractors or electricians.
Can multiple T panels be installed together?
Yes. Multiple T panels can be installed across a large ceiling area to create multiple sun points, simulating the effect of several skylights in a long atrium or corridor. Each panel operates independently with its own driver and control interface.
What warranty is included?
Every SkyLume T panel ships with a 2-year manufacturer warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship. LED drivers are warranted separately for 2 years. Rated lifespan exceeds 15,000 hours.
How does it compare to the TR round sun simulator?
The T and TR share the same sun simulation technology, but differ in form factor and tunability. The T is square-format with fixed 6,500K CCT, optimized for pure sun realism. The TR is round-format with tunable 2,100K-7,800K CCT, offering more flexibility for mood and circadian lighting. Choose T for maximum sun realism; choose TR for versatility and the round aesthetic.
